Don’t be fooled by her soft spoken voice: Kristen Stehr can belt out a note like nobody else. She is an artist who is dedicated to her passion for music and zeal for live performances. Her vocal talents and on-stage enthusiasm have allowed her to develop her own distinct country-bluesy sound, a sound that is, to say the least, crowd pleasing. Although she is comfortable performing many styles of music, her first love is country.
She was inspired at a very early age and has since continued to pursue her music career through voice, piano and guitar. She began performing near her hometown, Guthrie, Oklahoma, and then moved quickly to various venues in Central Oklahoma. Her musical skills, confidence, and showmanship growing rapidly, she moved on to Kansas, Missouri, Texas and Tennessee, where she has developed a loyal fan base. You can find her performing locally as an acoustic act or with her band of seasoned professional musicians. Kristen demonstrates charm and vitality both on and off the stage. She proves not only to be a strong voice in any musical medum, but also someone who can deliver excitement and emotion through her music.
A few of her most recent accomplishments include being chosen as one of the top 40 semi-finalists out of twenty thousand contestants for the TV show Nashville Star. She also competed in the Twister 101.9 contest to open for Kenney Chesney in 2008 and was chosen as one of the top 10 in Oklahoma. Last but not least, she was invited back to perform at Tootsie’s Famous Orchid Lounge in Nashville, Tennessee and has booked more appearances there in the near future.
